The Westbury Senior Living Looks Forward to This Year’s Spring-Cleaning

Spring-cleaning is celebrated in cultures across the world. Due to the tilt of the Earth on its axis, the northern hemisphere begins to see the winter-scape come to life with daffodils blooming, grass greening, and temperatures warming during late March, into early April.  

Spring-cleaning has grown into National Spring-Cleaning Week. This annual effort has expanded beyond house and business cleaning into peoples’ finances, technology, and other areas of a person’s life. With that in mind, The Westbury Senior Living is looking forward to completing this year’s community-wide spring-cleaning effort!

Ahh, the smell and sounds of spring. It’s an exciting time as we gather and remove the leaves, pull weeds, and ready for landscapers to add spring colors to the community. We’ll tilt in the windows, to clean the outside panes, and scrub and fire up the fountains. That’s when spring is official to me, my favorite part.

The greatest benefit, besides the obvious look, is just the overall mood you can feel that spreads between staff and residents. It’s infectious and it starts with plant operations.

Spring-cleaning naturally plants the urge to organize. It starts the process of cleaning and organizing – physical, thoughts, and moods.
